I haven’t uploaded in quite a while, wow.

Recently went for a walk with the family and the pup in Prestwich Clough down the road from me, brushed the dust off the ol’ DSLR and went out in the cold.

There is something so lovely about winter - so many interesting colours and textures…

It was the Private Viewing of my graduate exhibition - PEEP at the Cube Gallery in Manchester last night!

Was a great way to end my degree and this project with my nearest and dearest, and great to see everyones work looking fabulously presented!

Now onto our London Exhibition, PEER!

Finally handed in my last ever project for my degree this week!

Here is a miniature statement showing what I have been focusing on since January:

7,118,639,136, is a project that looks upon the impact that we have upon Planet Earth regarding the environment and recycling. On average, we generate 228 million tonnes of waste every year in England alone. My project looks upon the impact women have regarding the environment, and how there are stigmas attached to the female population that helped increase the amount of products that are hazardous to the environment. These 5 objects, all have a high profile with the environment: Plastic Bags: 1000 years, Tampons: 8 months, Shower Caps: 1000 years, Make-up Wipes: 300 years, Cotton Wool: 1-5 years – to decompose.

My portraiture aims to show how our identities merge and become lost, and we equate into one large problem.

More tests…

More tests…

After having a few weeks of relaxation which consisted of easter holidays and a trip to New York, it’s time to throw myself back into my uni work with my final ever deadline in 2 weeks!
Here is a development of my still life work with my project on recycling and the environment… The lighting is a bit more consistent with my portraits. Needs a bit more work before the final prints…

Monstrous skyscrapers of NYC

Went up the Empire State on our travels in New York! We did the clever trick of going at sunset so we got daytime and nighttime views…

So far i’m sure you can see the transition from daytime to dusk to nighttime…

Here are some of the nighttime views, i’m sure you will recognise some of the buildings!
